Guard without Spring does make TDD a slow and painful process, though. aseering commented Sep 12, 2016 @SRGOM -- cool; glad that works! To be frank, if it works as advertised, that will be the final brick in the wall regarding my ability to recommend Windows 10 to web developers who, up until this Once the dll is in the BPA folder, upgrade advisor works successfully and the upgrade runs through successfully. https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/sqlserver/en-US/6fcea8e9-4cad-424e-b5f4-9c982e1d6213/unable-to-install-update-to-sql-server-2005-wadv-services?forum=sqlexpress

After the installation, launch SpyHunter and click ‘Malware Scan’ to perform a full and quick system scan on your PC. Will INOTIFY from DrvFS work with existing instances, or is there something that needs to be done to update them? (Hopefully a fresh lxrun.exe /install isn't necessary.) For everyone reporting that Thanks, Microsoft.

If that's the case, and we want to use Windows tools to edit our files, what's the proposed developer workflow? 👍 3 ericblade commented Aug 25, 2016 @awkaiser from what That will allow you to be able to run rails server, and you should still get reloaded assets during local development, but it will not help with running rails test. This undermines the severity of the fundamental issue and also makes light of other scenarios where gulp can not be used, does not want to be used, or should not be have a peek at these guys ivoviz commented Sep 29, 2016 @bitcrazed Doesn't seem to work, tested with angular-cli (which uses webpack internally). I tried it several times on both Windows XP with latest updates and on another computer with VISTA installed with all the latest updates. wizardist commented Sep 17, 2016 @merlinvn did you run Visual Studio Code from inside the WSL to make gulp watch work, or did you run it from Windows natively?

Disabling the file_watcher seemed to do the job, without the need for disabling spring at all. There does seem to be some issue when stopping guard, but it hasn't really caused me any issues. $ guard 20:15:38 - INFO - Guard::Minitest 2.4.6 is running, with Minitest::Unit 5.9.0! I'm probably just going to keep using ST from within WSL until phase 2 is complete. That's it. Add MSFT to your search criteria... We are investigating right now.
If your tolerance to the risk of potential issues is very low, you'll have to wait for the next major OS release. Doesn't Gulp's watch rely on Gaze, which defaults to "auto" mode, watching for changes via native OS events or polling?
