It can play data CDs, but can’t play the particular brand or type (for example, CD-RW) of disc that you used. This needs to be fixed, WMP depending 100% on the new "Library's" system for everything is f***ing retarded, give me back WMP11 on W7 you a**hats... Right click on "Music" in Libraries, click on Properties, chose the folder where the ripped CDs are to be placed and click on "Set save location". It did not show a rip-destination and would not let me set a rip destination in "options" and would not save any settings. What is going on? Click Rip music tab, change the Audio Quality to another value (higher or lower than 128kbps).
This look like a straight bug in WMP, maybe a registry default not being setup on the upgrade. To fix this, you can delete and restore the Music library by following the steps below.
