What Is Xldr Ata Error

Was the source drive a system drive (ie, the OS drive)? The scan started and series #'s began to appear, but then stopped about 3/4 across the box and nothing happened. If you pressed key to boot from CD and it was ignored, please generate a problem report. What happens is when I restart the laptop it shows the vaio logo for half a sec and goes black.?

We are not able to get on the computer at all. Next lets see what else needs to be fixed. I ran a repair of XP and had it fix anything connected to booting and it is working fine now.

Is this the exact same image you restored to the working SSD? After a couple of false starts trying to transfer my entire HD using the USB cable, I finally got everything stored on an external HD. In case you don't have one you can apply for it at Acronis Web Site. Sounds like a HDD issue to me (ATA is just the younger brother of SATA yes?), is it something thats fixable? About "Press any key to boot from CD......[XLDR] ATA error_" message: it looks like you didn't press key or key event was not delivered into guest. In Recovery Console you should use command “fixmbr” to restore standard Windows MBR record and command “fixboot” to restore standard Windows boot sector.

Source(s): Having worked on pc's for some 25years this is a classic mistake to make, so you could recovery it and then he will think you are a genius, but just Followed the instructions and the file created is attached.
